Manila
Manila is the capital of the Philippines and one of the 16 cities that make up the Metro Manila, one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world with a population of around 20 million people.
It is located on the eastern shores of Manila Bay on the western side of the island of Luzon. Several cities lies on its border: The city is divided into six legislative districts and consists of sixteen geographical districts: Binondo, Ermita, Intramuros, Malate, Paco, Pandacan, Port Area, Quiapo, Sampaloc, San Andres, San Miguel, San Nicolas, Santa Ana, Santa Cruz, and Santa Mesaand Tondo.
With a population of 1,660,714 Manila is the second most populous city in the Philippines behind only neighboring Quezon City. The city’s inhabitants, however, inhabit an area of only 38.55 square kilometers, making Manila not only the most densely populated city in the Philippines but also the most densely populated city in the world.
As of 2009, Manila ranks as the world’s eleventh largest metropolitan area and the fifth largest urban area by population. Manila is also ranked as one of the most densely populated cities in the world. The city itself had more than 100 parks scattered throughout the city.

Quezon City
Quezon City is the former capital and the most populous city in the Philippines. Located on the island of Luzon, with a total area of 166.20 sq km. Quezon City is one of the cities and municipalities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region.
The city was named after Manuel L. Quezon, the former president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines who founded the city and developed it to replace Manila as the country’s capital.
Many government offices can be found here including the’Batasang Pambansa’, the seat of the House of Representatives, which is the lower chamber in the Philippine Congress.

Caloocan City
Caloocan City is one of the cities and municipalities that comprise the National Capital Region of Metro Manila in the Republic of the Philippines. Located just north of the capital City of Manila, Caloocan is the country’s third most populous city with a population of 1,378,856 as of the 2007 census.
Geographically, the city is divided into two separate areas. Southern Caloocan City lies directly north of Manila and is bounded by Malabon City and Valenzuela City to the north, Navotas to the west and Quezon City to the east.
Northern Caloocan City is the northernmost territory of Metro Manila and lies to the east of Valenzuela, north of Quezon City, and south of San Jose del Monte City in the province of Bulacan.

Cebu City
Cebu City is the centre of a metropolitan area called Metro Cebu, which includes the cities of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Talisay. Metro Cebu has a total population of about 2 million people.
The city is located on the eastern shore of Cebu and was the first Spanish settlement in the Philippines. Cebu is the Philippines’ main domestic shipping port and is home to about 80% of the country’s domestic shipping companies.
According to the 2007 Philippine census, the city has a population of about 798,809 people. Also the main hub for international flights into the country it’s the most important center of commerce, trade, and industry outside the capital.
Cebu also holds the second largest international flights in the Philippines and is a significant centre of commerce, trade and industry in the Visayas and Mindanao region.

Davao
One of the most important cities of the Philippines and the actual capital of the island of Mindanao, there are 1.3 million inhabitants occupying a total area of 2,400 sq km. also the world’s largest city in terms of land area, its international airport and seaport is one of the busiest cargo hubs in the Southern Philippines.
The city serves as the regional center for Davao Region (Region XI). It has a population of 1,363,330 (2007 census) and is named by the Foreign Direct Investment Magazine as the 10th “Asian City of the Future”.
In recent years, Davao City has emerged as the business, investment and tourism hub for the entire southern Philippines. The city boasts of some of the finest beaches and mountain resorts in the country and its proximity to the Philippines’ most captivating diving spots as well as its highest peak, Mount Apo.
